Here are just a few of our fun and interactive workshops that focus on science and engineering practice:

Detective Science

Teaches: Scientific Method, STEM Careers, Forensics, UV Light
There's been a cookie crime, and our Mad Science students are the only ones who can solve they mystery! They'll dust for prints and use fingerprinting, use black lights to find hidden clues, collect samples and run forensics on them and more to solve this fun, kid themed mystery!

Polymers

Teaches: Chemistry, Molecular Structure
Students model the chain of a polmer, to see how a monomer connects to become a polymer! We inspire criticle thinking with our "Have you seen me today" polymer worksheet, and find the polymers all around us! The finish up using their lab equipment skills and observation skills to create two different typs of synthetic polymers and compare the properties of each!

Slime Olympics

Teaches: Chemistry, Polymers, Lab Works, Molecular Structure
This workshop is our most popular and a classic! Kids team up to participate in the Slime Olympics! Each kid in each team makes one type of slime and competes them against the other members in their group! They will use real lab equipment to make their own slime, and everyone will get to take home a slime after! Which slime will take home the gold? Find you by booking this exciting and trendy class today!

Bare Bones

Teaches: Human Body
Students learn about the bones inside themselves! They will puzzle out building a skeleton themselves with our Skeleton Builders! They will become a doctor and diagnose a broken bone, while looking at xrays! Find out what would happen to our organs without our bones protections and more in our Bare Bones class!

Photosynthesis

Teaches: Life Processes
This workshop provides an introduction to the chemical processes in a plant, plant respiration, and the role of plants in food webs. Students get a chance to examine the role of light in the process, test for starch, and then create a mini greenhouse to observe in class or take home.

All About Animals

Teaches: Living Systems
How do animals feed themselves and their young? Which animals hibernate and which ones migrate, and why? How do animals use camouflage and behavior to protect themselves from predators? Students gain a better understanding of the adaptations and characteristics of animals which live in different habitats and environments and then make an animal print to take home.
